Application & Abstract Submission

General Information and Template

The number of participants, in addition to the invited speakers, is limited to about 60. Each participant can apply either for a contributed talk or a poster. Participants will be selected among those who submit the application form below based on the quality and the relevance of their contribution. Unfortunately, there is only room for 14 contributed talks. All applicants will be informed regarding their acceptance and kind of presentation approximatively 8 weeks prior to the conference.

There will be a poster-flash session and poster-awards will be granted.

The application deadline is March 10, 2018.

Accommodation and meals for all accepted participants will be provided in the Physikzentrum free of charge, thanks to generous funding by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation.

Privacy Data Handling

By registering to the "671. WE-Heraeus-Seminar: Fluctuation-Induced Phenomena in Complex Systems" you allow the Organization Committee of the meeting to store, administrate and use your personal data (name, postal address, email). Your personal data (name, organization) will be included in the workshops list of participants. Submitted abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts of the workshop. Your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties or used for other purposes than specified above.

Submission Guidelines

All abstracts must be submitted via the conference website using the tex-format template you can find here as download: Template.

The length of the abstract should not exceed one page. Please use the tex template for your abstract and upload it in the submission process. Submitted abstracts can be changed until the submission time closes by sending again the modified file. Therefore send your Abstract again.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the programme committee. All applicants will be informed regarding their acceptance at least 8 weeks prior to the conference. Accepted abstracts will be included in the abstract book of the conference.
